“Do you have a vagina?  Do you you want to be in control of it?  If you answered yes to both questions then congratulations, you are a feminist!”  The wise words  of feminist author Caitlin Moran and the basis of my feminist beliefs.  That’s What She Said is here to teach the true meaning of feminism and empower women to be their beautiful, strong, unique selves.  Because feminism is for everyone.

  1. My friend, I just read your piece on xojane concerning a tip to a psychic to deal with the traumatic events of your mother. I’m sure you won’t be receptive to this message, but I urge you to stay in therapy. If it’s not working for you, change therapists. Grief and trauma need to be processed and that takes time. By going to someone (who may be required to post an “entertainment only” sign) to give you feel-good platitudes in order to interrupt that process may not be the best long-term solution to your mental health needs. I’m so sorry for the terrible things in your life and I hope you find happiness and prosperity.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words! I believe everyone deals with things in their own way, and while therapy works for some, it doesn’t work for everyone. Trust me, I have tried several therapists and it’s just not for me. And that’s OK. I am happy to report that I am happy, healthy, and thriving. Thank you so much for visiting the blog, and I am so grateful for your kindness!
